Celest Pereira: Movement Photography Rooted in Neuroscience

Personal brand photography for movement educators

When Celest Pereira steps into the frame, you feel two things immediately, energy and integrity. She trained as a physiotherapist and now teaches movement through a lens that blends neuroscience, yoga and anatomy, work that is science backed and brain body deep, but never academic for its own sake. What makes her shine is the joy she brings to every moment, and capturing that joy, that flow, was the heart of these shoots. Shot in studio and outdoors in a garden pergola, we built a visual language that mirrors her mission, to make movement accessible and rooted in real human experience.

The session runs across two distinct registers, and that contrast is the method. In studio, the images strip everything back, close and quiet, lit so the shape of a pose and the precision behind it are the whole picture. Outdoors, in a walled garden, that same precision softens into movement caught in daylight, a backbend against old brick, a pose held in long grass. Both registers say the same thing in a different key, that discipline and softness are not opposites, they are the same practice seen from two angles.

This session sits alongside personal brand photography with Katrina Kurdy and Scaravelli inspired brand photography with Catherine Annis in the movement and wellbeing portfolio. For studio and outdoor brand shoots built the same way, here is how commissions run.

If your work sits between science and feeling, I would love to help you make images that hold both truths at once.
