When Anna Ashby asked me to photograph her book Restorative Yoga: Power Presence Practice, I knew we were crafting something special. This wasn’t just about showing shapes on a page, it was about capturing the subtle alchemy of breath, weight, stillness and energy that defines the practice. The kind of photography that doesn’t shout, but rather listens, then translates. We worked closely with a brilliant creative team, shaping each shot with care. From the choice of light to the gentle support of props, every element had to feel authentic. The book needed imagery that could both instruct and inspire, a balance of anatomical accuracy and emotional resonance. As a yoga and wellbeing photographer, I understood what was being asked on a felt level. My own years immersed in the practice allowed me to anticipate the unspoken details, the moments where the body settles, where the nervous system releases, where the breath expands.

This project was about nuance. It's in the hands softening, the eyes closed in trust, the shape held not for display but for embodiment. These are the kinds of images I love to make, ones that reflect the power of presence and speak to an audience who feel with their eyes first. Whether you’re creating a publication, launching a wellness brand, or building something with deep purpose, I bring that same intention to every commission. Clear direction, warm collaboration, and imagery that honours both the message and the moment. This is where visual storytelling meets lived experience and I’m here to help bring your next creative vision to life.
