Fitness Brand Photography: Becks van Someren, London

Studio on one side of the day, a common on the other

When I photographed Becks van Someren of The Outdoor PT, we were not just making marketing imagery, we were building a visual language for strength, freedom and reconnection. Becks is a women's fitness specialist, a self defence instructor and an advocate for trauma-informed care, and her whole approach is rooted in the belief that nature heals and empowers. My aim was to reflect all of that in pictures that feel alive, soulful and real.

The day ran in two halves. In the studio we made the portraits her brand needed to carry: strength work against black, a straight punch at the camera, a self defence guard, and one quieter frame in barre wear against soft pink. Then we went outside, and photographed her actually working: a client in a Future Is Female sweatshirt learning a drill, the two of them holding a plank side by side on the grass, a set of dumbbells being talked through. No gym mirrors, no forced poses. Just shifting skies and a real session.

That split is deliberate, and it is what a coach building a brand actually needs. The studio frames crop cleanly for a website header, a class listing or an ad. The outdoor frames are the proof: this is what a session with her looks like, and this is what it feels like to be coached by her. One set sells, the other set reassures, and you need both.

If you are a coach, trainer or brand building something with substance, something that genuinely supports women, I want to help you show that. My style suits fitness professionals who are not afraid to stand for something different. Whether it is personal fitness photography, fitness coach portraits or London lifestyle imagery, I am here to bring your energy to life: beautifully, naturally, powerfully.

More trainers and coaches in the personal trainer portraits and a shoot with Jenny Pacey. For agencies and brands, here is how commissions run and a list of clients I have worked with.
