Shooting with Jenny Pacey

Photographing Jenny Pacey, better known to many as “Enigma” from Gladiators was like shooting lightning. Each frame was alive with intention, precision, and strength. From the moment she steps in front of the camera, she brings decades of elite athletic training to every movement, whether it’s a leap, a lunge, or a glance straight down the lens.

Jenny’s background is as expansive as her presence: former Olympic bobsledder, international pentathlete, and long jumper for Team GB, now a fitness coach and stuntwoman. There’s a real art to photographing someone so in tune with their body. What I love most about working with athletes like Jenny is the collaboration. She understands performance, and I understand how to frame it. It’s this dance between power and poise, intensity and artistry, that makes the images speak so loudly.
