There’s a distinct lack of female perspectives in sports photography, yet our vision matters, especially in capturing elite female athletes like Olympic swimmer Rebecca Heyliger. My underwater images reveal the power, control, and fluidity that define her sport. There’s something mesmerising about seeing an athlete in their element, completely weightless yet full of purpose.

Since winning the Women’s Sport Trust Award for Imagery of the Year, I’ve been on a mission to amplify women’s stories in sport. It’s time for a shift, a new perspective that shines a light on female athletes through dynamic, immersive imagery. What do you want to see? Isn’t it time for a change?
