triyoga: Yoga Studio and Community Photography, London
Capturing the soul of London's yoga community
I photographed at triyoga from the time the studios first opened in Primrose Hill, and the work grew alongside the brand into one of London's best known yoga studios. This set covers classes, teacher training, and the Gyrotonic and Pilates studio work that sat alongside the yoga timetable, across triyoga's London locations.
The brief across more than two decades was the same: document the in-between moments rather than stage them, the breath before a pose, a teacher's hand correcting a lean, the settled quiet after savasana. It's observational work, not directed, which is why the same images that work for a studio wall also work as editorial documentary.
This set sat alongside the wellness treatment photography I made for triyoga's complementary therapies, and several of the teacher training images here were shot around the same time as the studio portraits I made of Anna Ashby.
