This shoot with Jean Hall was more than a brand photography session, it was a co-creative ritual, born from 25 years of friendship, practice and shared evolution. Jean and I first met when I was a student and she my yoga teacher. That long-standing bond shaped not only the images but the energy behind the lens. We wanted to create something powerful. A series that echoed the integrity of Jean’s somatic teaching, a deep listening to the body, the breath, and the subtle conversation between movement and stillness. Ancient henna markings were used to symbolise the timeless roots of yoga, a visual link to tradition, ritual and the sacred. This was a shoot where nothing was forced. Every gesture, every breath-led pose was shaped from Jean’s own inner world, her own body’s wisdom. And that’s the way I like to work. I see brand photography not just as content creation, but as a process of honouring who you are and what you bring. The resulting imagery has been used widely to promote Jean’s workshops and teacher trainings across the UK and what stands out is not just the visuals, but the feeling. My aim is always to make work that feels alive, real, and aligned with your message.
