Janine Tandy: Supportive Imagery for Mindful Practitioners
Yoga, coaching and wellbeing photography in London
Some stories are built on presence, stillness and soul. That's what I saw and felt when photographing Janine Tandy. Janine's work weaves together yoga, depth psychology, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness and coaching. There's a grounded wisdom in her presence, nothing flashy, no performance. Just real, embodied teaching. As a yoga photographer, that's exactly the kind of energy I love to work with.
During our shoot, I wasn't just capturing poses. I was observing breath. I watched how Janine moved through space with purpose, with care. It was clear she's spent years listening to her students and her own inner voice. Janine doesn't fit into a box, she blends movement, meditation, public health and coaching in a way that's entirely her own, and that's what I aimed to reflect in her imagery.
This shoot sits alongside the rest of my yoga and movement photography, between Fay Rosamond's yoga teacher portraits and Eunice Laurel's trauma-informed studio shoot. If you're a yoga teacher, coach or wellbeing brand looking for photography like this, see how Commissions work.
We created a suite of portraits Janine could use across her site, talks, retreats and corporate mindfulness offerings, visuals that are useful, beautiful and truly her.
