When Mercedes Sieff stepped into my studio, the energy instantly shifted. Known for her strong presence and joyful, authentic spirit, Mercedes brought all of that and more to this brand shoot. A yoga teacher, Positive Psychology coach, and co-founder of Yeotown retreats, she radiates vitality and purpose and that’s exactly what I set out to capture. The shoot was fun, free, and filled with laughter. But beneath the smiles was a serious strength. Mercedes moves with intention, power and clarity, so we used dynamic lighting and sculptural shadows to mirror that physicality. I worked with natural movement, catching the in-between moments, the ones that aren’t staged but tell the true story of her character. Her body language said as much as her words, and the camera loved it.
