Shortlisted Again: Rugby Photographer of the Year
For the fifth time, my work was shortlisted for Rugby Photographer of the Year. I was away on assignment and missed the awards, so gave my ticket to a photographer in our friendship group who didn't have a seat. I want to talk about why this was an easy decision, why commissioned work is what makes personal work possible, and how the pay gap in sports photography decides whose vision the rest of us get to see.
